Строительство первой стены началось в III веке до н. э. во время правления императора Цинь Ши-хуанди (династия Цинь), в период Воюющих царств (475—221 гг. до н. э.) для защиты государства от набегов кочевого народа хунну. В строительстве участвовала пятая часть тогдашнего населения страны, то есть, около миллиона человек. Длина стены составляет 8 тысяч 851 километр и 800 метров.

Jiankou
Jiankou is a section of the Great Wall of China. This section is not only a photographic hotspot but also a hot travel destination due to its unique style, steep mountains and beautiful scenery. 'Jiankou', is translated as 'Arrow Nock' in English, for the shape of the mountain is like an arrow, with the collapsed ridge opening as its arrow nock. Jiankou Great Wall located in the Huairou District 73km north of Beijing. The Jiankou section of the Great Wall of China is located between the Mutianyu--ten kilometers to the east--and the Huanghuacheng sections of the Great Wall of China. This section of the Great Wall of China has fallen into disrepair and this, along with its location along a mountain ridge bordered by jagged cliffs and steep drop-offs, makes the Jiankou segment of the Great Wall of China potentially dangerous to climb. The Jiankou section of the wall was constructed in 1368 during the period of the Ming Dynasty. It is made of large white rocks which can be seen from a great distance. Потрясающий тур на великую стену в районе JianKou, где стена довольно хорошо сохранилась в первозданном виде до наших дней без какой либо реставрации. Конечно же были весьма опасные участки и даже оочень опасный, на котором вся группа кроме двух русских предпочла развернуться и направиться обратно :) ... подробности смотрите в фотографиях ;)
Мы прошли от места JianKou до Sky Stair (очень опасное место), далее по склону спустились напрямую в деревню, где нас уже поджидал наш микроавтобус =)
